Shack Night and Intermediate exam forms
All Just a reminder its shack night tonight in Ballasalla. I have still only had one completed application form for the intermediate exam as of the time of typing this and I need them in before 09:00 on Monday10th. Excellent opportunity to drop in tonight, drop your forms off and say hi to your fellow Radio hams face to face .
A message to all perspective Intermediate Course candidates
As of this moment I have one completed candidate form and accompanying cheque. I need to get the candidates registered two weeks before the exam so the cut off date will be 09:00 Monday 10th of September. If you need my home address to send in the mail please PM or email me I will send you the details. I suggest that candidates start reading the Manual we have 8 copies at the club that we can loan out if you need them. I am hoping to issue more details shortly especially on the practicals in the hope we can get them done before the Course weekends leaving more time for theory.

Intermediate Exam Application forms

Intermediate Exam now available for booking
Well All after months of promising we are now able to offer an intermediate Course and Exam to be held over 2 weekends and a Wednesday evening at the Shack in Ballasalla.The dates in Question are Saturday and Sunday 22nd and 23rd of September 09:00 to 17:00,Wednesday the 26th September 19:00 to 20:30 and Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th September 09:00 to 17:00 . The exam will be on the Sunday.If you in treated please email iomars@manx.net so we can complete a list and send you the details with costs.
IOMARS weekly meetings cancelled until after TT
Due to the difficulties of travel over the TT period we have decided not to hold club evening meetings at the shack in Ballasalla . Back again straight after TT 2018.

Manx repeater information
Manx repeater supporters…..
Just to keep you all updated, I have today paid the annual insurance premium of £70 for the seven Manx repeaters namely GB3GD, GB3IM-C, GB3IM-R, GB3IM-S, GB3IM-P, GB7CA, GB7BR.
This insurance is primarily for 3rd party risks.
This is one of the ways the IOMARS support our repeater keeper David Osborn GD4HOZ.

Calling all intermediates who want their full licence
Calling all intermediate licence holders, we are intending to start a course for the full licence exam to be led by Richard Baker GD8EXI . To get things started and if you are interested we invite you to attend the Club Shack this Wednesday from 19:00 hours . The address is Scout Hall, Mill Road, Ballasalla, Isle of Man, IM9 2EG. Foundation Exam
All We are running another foundation exam on 16th of May 2018 at 18:30 at the shack in Ballasalla. The practicals can be done at anytime over the next 2 weeks.However if you want to take part in the exam I need your applications with me by no later than midnight 26th of April 2018.
